Hey devs,
After a long Christmas break, TanStack Weekly is back!
There's a lot to catch up on, so let's get to it.
One of the most common 'complaints' about TanStack has always been the documentation.
Luckily, in the last few weeks it has improved a ton.
The website is not only more modern, but also more mobile-friendy, better structured (new sidebar) and the new search is just a delight.
There is now a dedicated page showcasing projects built with TanStack libraries.
It features many popular applications and clearly shows that you can build almost anything with TanStack.
And yes, TanStack Weekly is listed there as well!
If you like it, I would really appreciate a thumbs-up: https://tanstack.com/showcase/e668b5f0-a330-4ad4-96b9-9ea1f37fd247
It's confirmed: React Server Components have been achieved internally (kudos to Manuel Schiller!).
The best part? "use client" and "use server" directives won't be needed.
Could this be the last missing piece of the puzzle for TanStack Start v1?
I love how transparent the TanStack community is, especially the maintainers.
The recent blog posts about TanStack AI go over the decision to split the codebase into adapters, an API draft that was canceled and how to gradually support multiple AI providers.
If you're interested in a peak behind the scenes, then these are definitely for you.
TanStack Pacer is a library that takes care of all the tricky UI parts: debouncing, throttling, rate limiting, queuing, and batching.
Web Dev Simplified just released a tutorial explaining how to use it, using real-world examples.
Probably the most comprehensive guide to TanStack Pacer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQrUeK0n1qw
It's not just you.
My YouTube homepage is full of developers moving to TanStack Start.
While I have been expecting this months ago, the trend seems to keep growing!
We're in a great place, and the future is so bright!
